I started a graphite drawing today of  couple of kookaburras and it’s early days with lots to do.

I really must get stronger lenses for my glasses as the detail in this is challenging! I have recently started to take photos of the stages of my work as it is a good way of being critical of your own work.  Looking at it like this, I can immediately see what’s working and what’ s not, although it can be difficult to go back!

Widened and lightened up the head and upper breast feathers plus added the claws.  This is giving me eyestrain – optometrist here I come…
