I previously recorded in my Garden Guests Diary that a male Australian King Parrot came down for the very first time to our garden to feed on the seed bell.  This was my first sighting ever of this magnificent bird.  Months went by and he never returned – until now!  Not only did he return but he brought the missus with him and at first I did not see her as she blended in with the rainbow lorikeets who were feeding on the grass next to her. They are larger in size than the lorikeets and quite stunning.  They stayed for a while, happily nibbling on the seeds which had fallen from the seed bell onto the grass below which allowed me to get fairly close to take some shots.
