Young British photographers, Matt and Will Burrard-Lucas run several photography competitions every year. Here are the winners from their recently judged Landscape competition.
I was thrilled to see that my "Blue Emu in Rainforest" illustration has been selected in the Colour Community Site which is an Australian spin off from Lost at E Minor.
The third competition in the Burrard-Lucas 2010 photo contest series is now open for entries. The theme is “Wildlife”. They are looking for images of wild animals that stand out from the crowd… maybe it will be a striking portrait that catches their eye or perhaps the image will reveal an interesting aspect of an animal’s behaviour.

The Landscape 500 is a new exciting photographic competition that is open to all amateur or enthusiast photographers in Australia. The theme is The Australian Landscape and includes, seascapes, urban and industrial landscapes, skyscapes, and any image where the main point of interest is the landscape.

A Facebook friend of mine suggested that I look at this professional photographer's profile and when I did, I also checked out his website and blog. I was immersed in his blog for 40 minutes before dragging myself away and it is a goldmine of information.
