After teaching art in a High School for ten years in Scotland, Lesley immigrated to Australia where she has taught adults drawing and silk painting at TAFE Colleges. Lesley is currently teaching art in a private College in the Gold Coast, Queensland.
“I have always loved art since I was very young and was always drawing. Silk painting is one of the most satisfying and exciting art forms that I have worked with and I particularly enjoy the fresh, jewel-like quality of the colours and their transparency when held up to the light, almost like a stained-glass window.
I also enjoy photography, computer graphics, pastel and graphite drawings and my inspiration comes from the abundance of flora and fauna in Australia and my love of cats.
My husband & I are frequently visited by the native birds and possums and as a result, I am fortunate to be able to get very close to the wildlife with my camera”
